We like to call it pseudo MMS, fake MMS, bootleg MMS, or {insert-any-awkward-but-humorous-word} MMS.
But essentially, it's a way to send pictures to other people without having to:
1) deal with that clunky abomination that sometimes works, (*cough*viewmymessage.com*cough*),
2) try and figure out which domains works (vtext.com, mms.att.net, etc),
3) be confined to the pictures on your phone,
4) most importantly, pretend that you don't know what MMS is!
